The Making of a Serial Killer is filled with Rolling's artwork as well as lyrics and poems, The book is an interesting read and one starts to feel a little compassion for Danny until the brutal description of the murders. Rolling describes in exact detail the final words of the victims and their every move, making parts of the book absolutely brutal.

Colin Wilson's introduction has an interesting theory, he believes that their may be something to the idea that Danny Rolling and other serial killer's are indeed possessed by evil spirits capable of influencing violent behavior. Wilson notes the similarities in the confessions of other killer's such as Ted Bundy who have experienced similar phenomena. Is it a mental condition or could there truly be creatures lurking for a body to inhabit is up to the reader to decide.
