Kee was charged with raping six teenagers and killing two of them between 1991 and 1998. He is also charged with the September 1997 murder of Johalis Castro, 19, but prosecutors don’t know if she was sexually assaulted because her body was set on fire and badly burned.

Arohn Kee is a sadist who “raped, robbed, violated and/or murdered seven young women” – and who told one of his victims she was “lucky” to get raped by him, prosecutors said at trial.

Mr. Kee, whom a prosecutor described as the ''the closest thing to pure evil'' he had seen in 15 years on the job, was sentenced to three life terms in prison without possibility of parole. Justice Sudolnick said she was showing him the same lack of mercy he had shown his victims. The families of the victims inside the courtoom broke into taunts and chants of ''They rape in prison'' and ''Enjoy the bus ride.'' after the sentence was read.
