Ferris and her boyfriend Jeff Opp tortured and killed a stripper who worked with Ferris at a Memphis, Tennessee strip club. The couple tied the victm up and sexually tortured her for over 2 hours, cutting her breasts with knives and raping her with a nightstick causing massive internal injuries before finally slitting her throat. While on the run in Florida Ferris was pulled over by a State Trooper for speeding. Ferris left the scene which resulted in a high speed chase. finally Ferris pulled over again, only this time being surrounded by State Troopers, took a pistol and shot her boyfriend in the head point blank range execution style on Interstate 95 in rush hour traffic in Jacksonville, Florida. Ferris entered a plea of guilty and was sentenced to two life terms for both murders.
This piece is a two page (one page front and back) handwritten letter+envelope from Ferris. This letter was written from the Duval county Jail on 5-24-2005 just two weeks after her 5-11-2005 arrest.
