Christian Gulzow was found guilty of second-degree murder in the 2017 slaying of Brian Lucero in the parking lot of Torchy's Tacos in Colorado. Gulzow was wearing demonic, white-faced makeup when he fatally slashed a 29-year-old homeless man to death while wearing Freddy Krueger claws in front of a popular Denver restaurant. Gulzow was sentenced to 42 years in prison. Gulzow, who identified as Christöf Gülzowprüzenstein, fatally stabbed Brian Lucero in the early morning of May 23, 2017, in the parking lot of Torchy’s Tacos at 11th Avenue and Broadway, following a confrontation between the two. Lucero suffered a fatal stab wound to the neck.
Friends and family have said Gulzow was a lonely, troubled man who endlessly shared his dark observations and videos in social media posts. He often circulated around downtown Denver on his scooter wearing elaborate demon, vampire and ghoul role-playing costumes.
